CONCORD, Mass. – Replacement of hydraulic control valves to the West Thompson Lake project in North Grosvenordale, Conn., and the Mansfield Hollow Lake project in Mansfield Center, Conn., will be completed under the terms of a $93,978.16 contract recently awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District.
Work will be accomplished by Dependable Repair, Inc. of Amityville, N.Y. The contract was awarded on July 13, 2016. Once a notice to proceed is issued construction will be authorized to start. Construction is anticipated to be completed within four months of the start date.
Existing hydraulic gate control valves at each project will be replaced with the same or better capabilities.
The project will be managed by the Corps of Engineers and all work will be accomplished under the supervision of a Corps of Engineers Quality Assurance Representative to assure compliance with contract requirements.
