Careers

A primarily civilian workforce, New England District is considered a “full service” USACE District delivering multiple civil works programs, military construction projects, engineering support to international partners, and advanced research into meeting challenges in the world’s coldest environments. Its diverse mission portfolio includes the protection/restoration of 6,100 miles of coastline, maintenance of 172 navigable ports (11 deep draft), streambank/shoreline erosion protection within New England’s 66,000 square miles, flood risk mitigation of five major river basins, environmental and aquatic ecosystem restoration, regulation of construction and discharges upon waterways and wetlands, as well as emergency response to national disasters and construction at all regional Army, Air Force, and Guard bases.​

Most of our jobs are located in historic Concord, Massachusetts. We also have field locations throughout the six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont).
