CONCORD, Mass. – A contract to perform rehabilitation wiring and do other work at the New Bedford-Fairhaven Hurricane Protection Barrier in New Bedford, Mass., was awarded recently by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District.
Work on the $242,271.00 contract will be accomplished by Fall River Electrical Associates, Incorporated, of Fall River, Mass. The contract was awarded on Sept. 27, 2015.
The work consists of rehabilitation of the wiring and the limitorque gate operators at the conduits through the New Bedford rock dike, as part of the New Bedford-Fairhaven Hurricane Barrier in New Bedford. The construction will extend over several months during the fall of 2015.
Work requirements will be managed by the Corps of Engineers under the supervision of a Corps’ Quality Assurance Representative to assure compliance with contract requirements.
