CONCORD, Mass. – The Child Development Center HVAC and insulation of the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) in Hanover, N.H., will be completed under the terms of a $144,680.00 contract recently awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District.
Work will be accomplished by Industrial Consultants, Inc., of Lee, N.H. The contract was awarded on Sept. 12, 2013. Construction is scheduled to take approximately 4 months to complete from the date of receipt of the notice to proceed.
These improvements to the Child Development Center of the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory facility in Hanover, are intended to provide increased thermal comfort to the building occupants. Specific work includes replacement of the Air Handling Unit (AHU) and condensing units, replacing the Variable Air Volume (VAV) terminal units, ductwork modifications, and electrical upgrades.
The project will be managed by the Corps and all work will be accomplished under the supervision of a Corps’ Quality Assurance Representative to assure compliance with contract requirements.
