CONCORD, Mass. – Upgrades to the Barnes Building in Boston, Mass., will be conducted under the terms of a $141,478.00 contract recently awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District.
Work will be accomplished by E5 Builders, LLC of Leominster, Mass. The contract was awarded on Sept. 22, 2017. Once a notice to proceed is issued by the Corps of Engineers, construction will be authorized to start. Once started, construction is scheduled to be completed within 90 days.
The work of this project consists of providing all materials, labor, testing and equipment necessary for: painting interior office areas (approximately 11,500 square feet); installation/replacing carpet in interior office areas (approximately 6,500 square feet); installing/replacing gym floor in interior office areas (approximately 2,000 square feet); installation of five vinyl wall graphics; installation of one 36-inch by 84-inch door with hardware; and installation of two duplex outlets 6 feet above the finished floor.
The contractor will be responsible for the moving of furniture prior to painting and protecting furniture during painting; moving of furniture prior to the installation or new carpet; and moving of gym equipment prior to installation of new flooring.
Work requirements will be managed by the Corps of Engineers under the supervision of a Corps’ Quality Assurance Representative to assure compliance with contract requirements.
