• Water & Boating Safety Day -  Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 10am-2pm.

  Are you ready for a FUN and SAFE summer along the water? Join us for a fun-filled day of activities and we'll help make sure you are!

  We'll have...Water & boating safety handouts, activities, games & prizes for the whole family. Dock-side tours of USCG & USACE patrol boats and Sandwich Fire boats. Free vessel safety checks by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. Fishing Clinic with MA Division of Marine Fisheries (equipment provided!)

  Dunk-a-Ranger. Wet Fest activities with AmeriCorps Cape Cod. And... Special guest Bobber the Water Safety Dog! See flyer for more details.

• Guided Bike Hike - Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 10 a.m.

  • Learn about the Canal while riding your bicycle alongside the waterway! A Canal Park Ranger will ride with you, share interesting stories and images, and point out many unique features. All ages welcome. Ride is 7 miles roundtrip (Railroad Bridge to Herring Run & back). 1.5 hrs.

• Family Fishing Night - Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 5-8 p.m.

  Join us for a FREE family fishing clinic event! Co-hosted by US Army Corps of Engineers Park Rangers and MA Division of Marine Fisheries. MA Division of Marine Fisheries staff will teach basic saltwater angling skills through hands-on educational activities in a fun and enthusiastic environment. • Weekly Programs for Kids – on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from July 9-Aug 14 at 10 a.m.

  Little Naturalist – best for ages 3-5 – on Tuesdays

  Canal Kids – best for ages 6-11 – on Wednesdays

  New themes and activities each week. Canal Kids can earn a Junior Ranger patch if they attend 3 more of these programs and complete a scavenger hunt inside the Visitor Center! See flyer for more details.  

• Exploring Oceanography Program – July 23-25 from 9:30 a.m. -12 p.m. and July 26 from 6-8 p.m.

  Do you have a budding oceanographer in your family? This program is for them! Youth ages 12-15 are invited to join us for a FREE

  multi-day Exploring Oceanography Program at the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center. Space is limited, registration required. See flyer for more details.
