A New Digital Interpretive Trail at Cape Cod Canal

Welcome to the Cape Cod Canal's brand new digital interpretive trail, where you can discover all sorts of stories about the Cape Cod Canal's natural, cultural and engineering history, environmental stewardship, Canal structures, tides, shipwrecks, and much more! All the stories here connect with various locations along the Cape Cod Canal. The locations will all be marked with signs featuring our Ranger Dog.

Launched May 1, 2016 with one story, the 'Did you Know?' trail will continue to grow in the months and years to come. Check back on a regular basis for more stories and a map to all the locations.

Special thanks to the Cape Cod Home Learners Cooperative for their help in launching this project and developing our first story featured below. And extra special thanks to Cedar Coellner who created Ranger Dog.

Here's our first story. Enjoy!
