McGee Properties, LLC seeks Corps permit to place fill for roads, lot development in subdivision in West Gardiner

CONCORD, Mass. – McGee Properties, LLC, of West Gardiner, Maine, is seeking a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District to conduct work in waters of the United States in conjunction with building roads and lot development at a subdivision in West Gardiner, Maine.


McGee Properties, LLC, proposes to retain and maintain approximately 151,630 square feet (3.48 acres) of freshwater wetland fill material placed in multiple locations within the Rabbit Ridge Acres residential subdivision off of High Street in West Gardiner, Maine, in conjunction with the construction of roads servicing the subdivision and lot development. The fill material was placed incrementally over the years between 1995 and 2011.


This work occurred in unnamed freshwater wetlands off of Seth’s Way and West Ridge Road Extension off of High Street in West Gardiner.


The application for the federal permit was filed by McGee Properties, LLC, with the Corps of Engineers n compliance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, which regulates the discharge or fill of material in United States waters, including adjacent wetlands.
