CONCORD, Mass. – All four traffic lanes on the Sagamore Bridge are now fully open, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District officials.
The repair work on the Sagamore Bridge is nearly complete. The contractor, R. Zoppo Corporation of Stoughton, Mass., is now off the bridge and all four travel lanes are fully open. During the next few days the contractor will continue to perform off-roadway work and removal of signage.
The Corps posted the information to Facebook late Tuesday night after receiving the status update from the construction team.
The Corps of Engineers thanks the traveling public for their understanding and patience during the execution of these necessary repair activities. The bridge work is critical to maintaining the structural integrity of the bridges, which are a vital component to the transportation system of Cape Cod, the Islands and southeastern Massachusetts.
