15-Day-Notice -- Portsmouth Naval Shipyard has submitted a permit application for work in the Piscataqua River, Kittery, ME to perform structural repairs and maintenance to the dry dock; berths 11, 12 and 13; dredging; and backfilling. The purpose is restoration of the crane rail support structure allowing portal cranes to operate at full capacity, extend the useful life of the existing 70-year old steel piles, and repair deteriorated structures.
