Elm Brook Park in Hopkinton to Open for the Season

HOPKINTON, N.H. – Elm Brook Park, owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District will open for the season on Saturday, May 25, 2013.

 

This federally managed recreation area offers picnic tables and grills, playground equipment, horseshoe pits, a swim beach, a short nature trail, a boat ramp, and four picnic shelters which can be reserved in advance for a fee.

 

A radio controlled model airplane flying field is available for visitor use. Interpretive programs are provided by uniformed park rangers and interpretive exhibits are located in the Ranger Station.

 

The recreation use fee for the area is $1.00 per person, $4.00 maximum per car.  Children ages 12 and under are free.  Picnic shelter reservations can be made by calling the National Recreation Reservation Service toll free at (877) 444-6777 or online at www.recreation.gov.

 

Elm Brook Park, located off of Route 127 in Hopkinton is open daily through Labor Day.  Park hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Weekends / Holidays from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.  Please note that pets are not allowed in the park.
