CONCORD, Mass. – Follow-on steel repair work will resume on the Cape Cod Canal’s Bourne Bridge in Bourne, Mass., on Wednesday, Feb. 8 and Thursday, Feb. 9, weather permitting, with traffic control measures installed that will reduce the travel lanes to ONE LANE IN EACH DIRECTION.
Traffic control will be in place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. during these two days. Motorists planning to use the Bourne Bridge should be aware that travel delays are likely to occur during the morning and afternoon peak travel periods each day.
Completion of the steel repairs is critical to maintaining the integrity of the bridge, which is a vital component of the transportation system for the Cape, Islands and southeastern Massachusetts.
