One lane off Cape from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Traffic control on the Cape Cod Canal’s Sagamore Bridge scheduled for one day, Wednesday, Dec. 5

CONCORD, Mass.One traffic lane going off Cape (westbound) on the Sagamore Bridge, spanning the Cape Cod Canal in Bourne, Mass., will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow communication lines/wires to be placed, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials.

 

For this one day, traffic control measures will be installed that reduce the travel lane going off Cape Cod (westbound) to one traffic lane during the day. Traffic going onto Cape Cod (eastbound) will remain two lanes at all times.

 

State and local police will be on duty at all times work is being performed to assist the motoring public.
