CONCORD, Mass. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is pleased to announce that the scheduled paving project on the Bourne Bridge was successfully completed late last night. As of early this morning, all travel lane restrictions have been lifted, returning the bridge to its full four-lane capacity ahead of schedule. While all travel lanes are now open to motorists, crews will remain on-site throughout the day to remove remaining traffic control devices, including drums and cones, from the shoulders and breakdown lanes. This final cleanup is being conducted with the support of a police detail to ensure safety on both workers and drivers.
