The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District announced that the recreation area at Hop Brook Lake will remain closed to vehicle access for the rest of the 2024 season, through the official closing date of September 8. The area was inundated with water after the last storms, which dropped more than 8 inches of rain. Facilities will remain closed to allow USACE to perform cleanup, repairs, debris/sediment removal and maintenance checks.

Visitors using portions of the park and trails via foot or bicycle are advised to use extra caution due to numerous washed-out areas, possible downed trees, hanging limbs, debris, saturated and slick areas.
