Town of Temple seeks permit for proposed work in Henry Mitchell Brook off Mitchell Brook Road in Maine

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District received a permit application to conduct work in waters of the United States from the Town of Temple for proposed work in Henry Mitchell Brook off Mitchell Brook Road at Temple, Maine.

The proposed work involves the placement of fill below the ordinary high-water line of Henry Mitchell Brook off Mitchell Brook Road in conjunction with the replacement of an existing deteriorated pipe culvert with a larger natural bottom box culvert with banks and boulder control structure placement within the stream. Approximately 1,700 square feet (0.039 acres) of temporary and 515 square feet (0.012acres) of permanent stream bottom impact will occur during the proposed work.

USACE is soliciting comments from members of the public; federal, state and local agencies; American Indian Tribes; and other interested parties to consider and evaluate the impacts of this proposed activity.
