The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District received a permit application from Blue Stream Shellfish LLC of Ware, Massachusetts, for proposed work in Nasketucket Bay off the coast of Mattapoisett, Massachusetts.

The proposed project includes establishing a commercial shellfish and macroalgae farm on approximately 50 acres of water. The project will focus primarily on the aquaculture of the eastern oyster and sugar kelp.

The Corps is soliciting comments from members of the public; federal, state and local agencies; Indian Tribes; and other interested parties to consider and evaluate the impacts of this proposed activity. The public notice with more detailed information is available for review on the Corps
