The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District received a permit application from Daniel Maggio for proposed work in waters of Western Long Island Sound off Greenwich Point in Greenwich, Connecticut.

The proposed work involves installation of lines, buoys, anchors and aids to navigation for the commercial cultivation of a winter crop of native sugar kelp in an area identified as 2016-SW#22 at the Department of Agriculture state-issued site which is southwest of Flat Neck Point.

The Corps is soliciting comments from members of the public; federal, state and local agencies; Indian Tribes; and other interested parties to consider and evaluate the impacts of this proposed activity. The public notice with more detailed information is available for review on the Corps
