We published a public notice announcing emergency procedures for Tropical Storm Henri on August 31, 2021. Shortly after Tropical Storm Henri arrived, on September 1, 2021, Hurricane Ida
began impacting the States of Connecticut and Rhode Island and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Due to the two events occurring so close together, it may be difficult to associate
storm damage to one event. Therefore we are publishing this public notice to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New England District, will initiate the following combined emergency permitting procedures in response to conditions resulting from storm damage associated with Tropical Storm Henri and Hurricane Ida in the States of Connecticut and Rhode Island and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including lands within the boundaries of Native American Indian reservations. These are the same emergency procedures that were announced for Tropical Storm Henri on August 31, 2021.
