North Scituate Beach in Scituate is located along the southern shore of Massachusetts Bay, about 1.5 miles south of Strawberry Point and 10 miles south of Boston Harbor. Although nearby parking is for Scituate residents only, the beach is a public one and very popular with the seasonal community.

The project involved widening about 2,500 feet of beach to a 125-foot width by the direct placement of sand. It was completed in February 1967 at a cost of $213,000.
