Otter Brook Lake offers many recreational opportunities that everyone can enjoy.
Swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, canoeing, and fishing are just a few of the
summertime favorites at Otter Brook Lake. A shaded brook meanders
through the park with picnic tables along its bank. If you prefer the sun
and sand the beach with a roped-off swimming area is the place to be. If volleyball
or baseball is your idea of fun, there are plenty of grassy areas to set up a game, and
horseshoe pits are available throughout the park. During the winter, visitors enjoy cross country skiing, ice fishing,
snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.
If you are planning a family reunion, wedding reception, or business outing, don't forget the shelters at
Otter Brook Lake. These shelters may be reserved for a fee, and they make a great place to hold any function.
Electricity is available at the shelters and bathrooms with flush toilets are located nearby.
Hunting and fishing are permitted in accordance with appicable state laws and regulations.
Trout are stocked annually by the state in Otter Brook, and warm water species can be
found in the lake.
For more information on hunting or fishing, you can contact
the New Hampshire Division of Fish and Game
In addition to the these activities, special interpretive
programs on natural resources, water
safety and flood control are provided by park
rangers. Gatehouse tours are also available. Check out our Current
Events to find out what's happening now.
