Description

The prairie warbler is a small bird with a yellow front and a greenish-yellow back with red streaks. The young bird has a blue-gray head and the female has light black dashes on its sides and a white eyering. The male bird has dark black dashes on its sides and a yellow face with a black line through the eye and one below the eye.

Voice

The prairie warblers call is a rough chip and its song is "zee zee zee zee zee zee zee zee."
