A Nature Center with exhibits and activities for children of all ages is also located in the recreation area. North Hartland Lake has also been the site of large gatherings ranging from weddings to Scout day camps and "Klondike Derbies".
The small shelter (picture below right) is on the right side of the road when driving into the park. It is across from the playground and bathroom. The large lower shelter (picture below) is the newest shelter. It is located on the right side of the road and closer to the beach.
Recreation Use Fees
*Maximum fee per day per vehicle - $4.00. Recreation Pass Updates: Golden Age/Golden Access passes have been discontinued, but passes will continue to be honored. Lost, stolen, or defaced passports must be replaced with the American the Beautiful Senior or Access Pass in order for discounts to be received at Corps projects. America the Beautiful passes can be purchased at participating Federal agencies or on the Internet at http://www.recreation.gov/. The passes will not be sold at any Corps project.Special Events: The fees vary depending on the event. Please call the Park Manager for more information. |
