Marine Operations Mission Statement:
"To assist in keeping the Cape Cod Canal free and clear of obstructions, wrecks and debris, allowing for the safe and efficient transit of commercial and recreational vessels."

The Cape Cod Canal Marine Operations Section patrols the 17.4 mile federal waterway to ensure the safe navigation of all vessels. Marine Operations personnel manage marine traffic, enforce Canal navigation regulations, and render assistance to disabled vessels.
The Marine Operations fleet includes patrol boats, a tugboat and small utility craft. Able to assist large commercial traffic and small recreational craft alike, the Marine Operations Section provides a quick, effective response to any marine emergency that occurs within the Canal.
