The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District project is now in its second phase to repair the south jetty of Newburyport Harbor, Newburyport, Mass. This consists of repairing portions of the 1,400-foot-long jetty that was damaged during Tropical Storm Irene and Hurricane Sandy. Approximately 12,000 tons of 6-to 12-ton armor stone will be placed for the project.
